I have come up with an idea to help special needs students

Customer Question

I have come up with an idea to help special needs students get vocational
training. How can I find out if my idea is original or are others doing it also?

Thank you for your question. I look forward to working with you to provide you the information you are seeking for educational purposes only.
Under copyright law, one cannot copyright an idea. You would have to develop your program and then once it is developed you can copyright that program or patent it or trademark it as well. However, a pure idea is not tangible and cannot be protected as intellectual property.
To conduct a search you would have to do an internet search for key terms involving your idea, that is the only way to find out if anyone else is doing what you are thinking about.
