Hi William, My name is***** will be glad to try to help. This sounds like a carburetor problem from old gas sitting and causing sediment/rust/varnish buildup in the carburetor when gasoline gets old and breaks down. Check for spark while cranking with a spark tester and check timing and compression. If that is oik clean the carburetor and try running a separate gas line from a container and try starting from a fresh container of gas. If it is ok then Rebuild/reseal your carburetor and clean the tank and lines. Replace any cracked or dry rotted lines. Let me know
