Hello, my name is ***** ***** I will be the immigration attorney helping you today.
Don't worry, You do not necessarily have to file taxes "jointly." just because you are married. There is another option to file as "married but filing separately" or as "head of household," in some cases. BUT You should not be filing as single if you married. That is not allowed.
You should consult an accountant of tax preparer specialist if you filed as single and you are married.
Good luck to you during this process and I hope this answer has helped you!
