It has a timing chain. Timing chains have no recommendation for changing it has they are designed to last the life of the engine. The only time they need to be replaced is if a timing chain tensioner or guide fails. You will know when this happens as you will hear a rattle on start up and lightly revving the engine as the timing chain slaps the inside of the timing cover
