Welcome, I'm Chris (aka-Moose).

  • I AM ONLINE, normally 11 am - 3 pm then again 8 pm- 3 am central. Expect me to reply in those time frames.
  • PHONE CALLS are offered from and by the website, not me. They do cost more, and they are a different service than the Q/A chat. I will fulfill some calls but not all.
  • UPLOADED LINKS I SEND, if I upload dropbox links, they will open on a home PC, often they fail on a work PC, on a phone use the box on the top right of your phone screen for direct download.
  • MY ANSWERS I try my best to answer with complete accuracy/confidence. I will let you know if I do not have enough info or do not feel comfortable with my answer with the given info.

Do you own a test light or voltmeter?

No call necessary i asked where the headlight fuse is
Hyundai Mechanic: Chris (aka- Moose), Technician replied 13 days ago

There are no fuses for the headlights.

At the headlights ohm test the black wires to ground to make sure you get no resistance a reading of 0.0.

Test the power wires. They are red and pink. With the working high beams on you should get battery voltage on one of these wires at both lamps. With the low beams on you should get power on the other power power wire at both lamps.

If you find you are missing power to the lamps on the low beams that means the IPS control module inside the dash fuse box is faulty.

Here is a wire diagram if needed. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hh2stf263vuik0e/IPScontrol.pdf?dl=0

You now will see a rating scale a row of yellow stars from bad to excellent, because I have posted my 1st full/partial answer. When you rate I get a portion of the deposit you made, no rating means you still paid, but I earn nothing. My goal is understanding your question, and addressing it in full detail. In return, receiving a 5-star rating. Rating does not close the post or stop the conversation. Please keep in contact and reply as much as needed. Thanks, Chris
