Had the turbo boost sensor replaced about 3 months ago.

Customer Question

Had the turbo boost sensor replaced about 3 months ago. Check engine light has come on and I'm getting the same codes as before. P2562 & P2565
JA: Does the light stay on, or does it blink?
Customer: Stays on. Also, reduced power as turbo doesn't work when light is on.
JA: What year is your Turbo?
Customer: 2011
JA: Are you fixing your Turbo yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Was thinking about it but not sure where the sensor is located.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No. Thank you.

OK...THE TURBO WASTEGATE ACTUATOR ROD IS OUT OF ADJUSTMENT AND NEEDS TO BE ADJUSTED...THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE SONATA TURBO.....IS YOU HAVE A SCAN TOOL THAT CAN READ LIVE DATA I CAN INSTRUCT YOU ON HOW TO PERFORM THIS, OTHERWISE IT WILL NEED TO GO TO THYE DEALER TO HAVE IT PERFORMED.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
Thank you. I do have a live data reading scan tool. Are you saying that I can resolve this issue using the tool?
Expert:  davehop replied 3 months ago.
You need to monitor the turbo wastegate voltage while adjusting the turbo wastegate actuator rod....look through the list of sensors that you can monitor...not all scanners can access all of the data needed...see if turbo wastegate is one of the available selections
Expert:  davehop replied 3 months ago.
Is that sensor data available for you to monitor?
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I don't have it with me. I'm on my way back home now to check.

Ok...let me know

Did you check to see if your scanner can read the turbo wastegate voltage?
