Waiting for directions.

Sorry, but my computer froze

There are 2 ways to go about it, one is to drop the subframe, unbolt and swing the compressor out of the way and remove the alternator from the bottom.

The other is to remove the radiator fan and squeeze the altrnator past the radiator and remove from the top. That is a bit less work and what I will be uploading

Hyundai doesnt provide much in the way of diagrams for me to post to help out, but I posted what they had with notations.

You will disconnect the negative cable to the battery

Disconnect the harness connector the radiator fan

Remove the upper and lower radiator fan bolts

Slip the fan assembly up and out of engine compartment

Disconnect the harness connectors and wiring to the alternator

Remove the 2 alternator retaining bolts

Slide alternator out of its saddle bracket

Now you will have to turn it sideways and then upside down and manuvear it out the top.
