Driver side window went down ok, but will not go back up,

driver side window went down ok, but will not go back up, rest of windows work fine
JA: Is this your first time dealing with this issue?
Customer: yes, had car about 4 months now
JA: What is the model/year of your Hyundai?
Customer: santa fe 2005
JA: Are you fixing your Santa Fe yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: trying to fix myself. i took door panel off, put 12 volt + to each lead of motor, ground to body of motor, no action from motor with + on ether wire to motor
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: i don't think so

Hi Dave,

12v to one wire, and ground to the other wire, not the case.

Motor should attempt to go up or down at that point, reverse wires if necessary.

I would say you have a faulty master switch.
