Key stuck in ignition, cannot remove or turn car on. Stuck

Customer Question

Key stuck in ignition, cannot remove or turn car on. Stuck in grocery parking lot
JA: Can you turn the steering wheel at all? And what about the key? Is it worn or damaged?
Customer: Steering wheel moves just barely. I just got this car and have had no problems up to now . It's a 2015
JA: What is the model of your '15 Hyundai?
Customer: Not sure
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I was not trying to fix it, when I parked the car just now I could not get the key out or turn the car on. Lights and radio work, but does not turn over.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

hey how are you

1- we need to check voltage on battery

2-you will need a factory scanner or equivalent to run a diagnostic scan & retrieve fault codes

BUT since you i stuck in parking lot

You can do Master Reset her is the procedure

Master reset Procedure

1- Disconnect Battery Cables ( Negative & Positive Cables )you can use any electrical wire as an extension if battery cables don't reach .

2- Hold cables Together for 60 secs ,then let go

3- Wait 15 minutes

4- Make sure all doors are closed

5- Reconnect battery Cables

6- Lock & unlock the vehicles using the key from driver door side (if you have a key fob with no blade key, just lock & unlock using the key fob buttons)

7- Enter the vehicle and attempt to start

Please let me know
