How much does it move - a few inches or a foot or more?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I would say, few inches. Likes 3-5 inches
Expert:  Eric replied 11 months ago.

Ok, this is going to be either the shifter cable needs adjustment or the transmission position switch is faulty and needs to be replaced.

If you plan to do this yourself, let me know and I can upload directions to adjust the cable and replace the switch if need be
