Most likely the trunk switch actuator has failed or battery voltage is very low and needs to be charged. To disable alarm try putting key in the ignition and starting the car, if that fails use the key fob to lock and unlock the doors, if that fails use manual key on passenger side to lock and unlock the doors. Most likely what may have happened is something triggered the alarm previously and it drained the car battery sufficiently to cause the trunk lock to malfunction. I want my money back . You're not even reading my question correctly
Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

I am sorry I meant to say an alternate set of keys , are you a Hyundai Blue link subscriber? if so they can remotely unlock the trunk electronically, short of that an alternate way into the trunk depending on which Hyundai vehicle you have would be to enter through the back seat.

Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

Fold down the back seat and use the emergency trunk release in the trunk or just retrieve your keys.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
How do I fold seat
Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

Just above either side of the top of the seat is a flap pull out on flap and seat will fold.

Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

All Sonatas do, some times it ends up between the top of the seats where the two halves come together

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Why don't I see it!!!!!!?????
Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

Is your rear seat split into two halves one larger than the other to carry cargo?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
In the miss idle it comes down to put drinks
Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

ok that one is a little more difficult, is there any type of plastic latch on top of the seat where it meets the rear deck?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
My seats don't fold I tried everything
Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

ok that one in particular requires tools to be able to get it to come down, do you have any finger nail clippers in your purse?, lets shut down the annoying alarm for you first.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Why don't my seats come down
Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

Some models require tools, some do not, I wish it were better news, How long has the alarm been sounding off?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It turned off
Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

ok , now open the hood

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Opened
Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

Look for something that looks like an alarm speaker, use finger nail clippers to clip one of the 2 wires going to the speaker.

Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

This will prevent it from going off again in a few minutes

Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

The wire can be spliced back later by your mechanic

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok how do I open trunk now
Expert:  Cardoctor71 replied 1 year ago.

First step will be to remove the back seat bottom, then unscrew the retainer bolts that hold the upper portion in place then reach into the trunk after the entire seat is removed, unfortunately this will require tools.
