Customer Question

I have a 2005 Hyundai Sonata. The passenger side window is down and will not close with either the main switch on driver's side or the passenger side window control.

Actually I just tried the windows again - only the driver's side window works.

You mean all windows are not working except the drives window ?

Only the drivers window works

Okay looks like you have a bad drivers door window control box .

This happens a lot when window is left open and the control box gets wet too many times .

this when damaged will hinder the other door switches from working the window .

To test this you will need a good diagnostic scan tool and enter the window control system and see if you can close

the windows if they close replace the drivers door switch .

In some case the switch may suddenly start to work again intermittently.

First disconnect the battery for ten minutes ,then reconnect and try the windows again .

Let me know what happens and what you find so i can further assist with this issue if needed.

I'll give that a try. Right now as I said in 1st comment, the passenger side window is open..any way to get that up and closed ?

You will have to open up the door inner cover and get to the motor direct and jump the wire with a battery .
