I am working on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. The right steering

Customer Question

I am working on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. The right steering link to the right steering ball joint end has come loose or broken inside the rack and pinion. Do I have to lift the engine on the firewall side to get the rack and pinion assembly out. Also what else do I need to watch for when lifting engine?
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: Not sure what you mean, I'm just not sure how to get the rack/pinion assembly out from under the engine mount
JA: OK got it. Last thing — Hyundai Mechanics generally expect a deposit of about $18 to help with your type of question (you only pay if satisfied). Now I'm going to take you to a page to place a secure deposit with JustAnswer. Don't worry, this chat is saved. After that, we will finish helping you.
