2003 hyundai elantra temp gauge goes above mark burped it and it stoped overheating now occasionally goes slightly above mark and comes back to normal also after burping got heat but still think there is still some air in system can air in system stop the heat

Hello, I'm Brandon - Hyundai tech.

First make sure have enough coolant in the radiator and the reserve tank.

Open the coolant cap and turn up the heat for about 10 minutes. Let the car warm up.

Make sure you get all the air out that is trapped in the coolant system.

if the car is still overheated. Then I believe the thermostat is bad and needs replacement.
