Hello I will help you with your question,

The 2.7 uses a mass air flow system not a speed density system to meter the air/fuel mixture so it does not use a MAP sensor.

Why are you asking?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
My Tucson keeps cutting off after filling up the gas tank (doesn't matter what kind, 89 to 93) and occasionally when idling at a stop light. After it shuts off the sensor light on the dash comes on. I have to reset it by taking a lead off the battery. Took the car to a repair shop - they said it was the MAP sensor that had to be replaced.

Maybe they meant MAF not MAP but I would not be replacing it for this problem. It is more likely that the charcoal canister is failing and allowing raw fuel to the pulled into the engine through the purge valve. Ask them to pull the hoses off the canister and look for loose charcoal. If any is found replace the canister and the purge valve after blowing the loose charcoal out of the lines.

If they are finding a P0101 code that is a result of the stall not the cause.

Please let me know how I can help
