Fuel gauge stopped working on our 07 Santa Fe the day after

Customer Question

Fuel gauge stopped working on our 07 Santa Fe the day after we filled the tank with fuel. Next morning went out gauge read empty and light was on still had fuel in the tank. Vehicle still runs and drives fine, but does have a check engine light and 2 call outs (463 and 2068).

Hello I will help you with your question,

The fuel level senders do fail on these. There is one on each side of the tank and to replace both (yes you want to do both) is about $250 for the parts and the labor. Try to get the tank down to just a few gallons when the job is done, less chance of the interior smelling like fuel from spillage.

Please let me know how I can help you with this

Thank you
