Hyundai Santa Fe: I took my vehicle in multi-point inspection

Customer Question

I took my vehicle in for a multi-point inspection and they came back saying the power steering pump was gone. I had noticed some tight steering with a bit of noise after driving for a bit. I had the pump replaced, noise was worse. Took back to shop and they said lines needed to be flushed, they did this. I went home, noise returned. They replaced the pump on warranty, still not fixed. So they say, then it's the power steering rack. Now I don't trust the shop as there was never any mention of the rack during the multipoint inspection. Is this legit on their part?? As they are quoting me another $1800 after the initial $1200 repair

Why are they saying is the rack?
