how to you locate and replace the camshaft position sensor on a 2006 elantra

  1. Remove the engine cover(B).
  2. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.

Remove the camshaft position sensor(C)

Is the part hardwired or does it plug in?

The wiring connector from the engine harness should plug directly into the sensor. Push the button on the connector to release the tab and pull the connector off of the sensor. The sensor should look like this:
