warning..engine dies; she pulls to the side of the road..engine starts

This answer was rated:

My daughter's car stops running suddenly and without warning while driving. The engine dies; she pulls to the side of the road, puts it in Park and the engine starts again. Happens most often when engine is cold and when she is turning right. Can't duplicate the problem when a technician is riding with her attempting to diagnose.

Are there any codes in the computer?

Does the engine start right back up when it stalls out?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
I don't know about computer codes. Engine starts right away after it stalls out. Could it be a clogged fuel filter?

No... a plugged fuel filter usually causes a low power situation.

You might just have a bad crankshaft position sensor. THis is very common!

The crank sensor can go bad intermittently and cause a stalling condition like you are describing...
