I just reinstalled my lux 500 after it had been inactive for years. Every thing seems to be ok but the light on the dial does not come on. Cant tell the date, time, temp, etc. Any suggestons?

Contractor's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?

I just now finished removing the old one (too complicated for my wife) and hooked this one up.

Contractor's Assistant: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?

I will do the work if I know whats causing the problem and how to fix. Will the bubd go out?

Contractor's Assistant: Anything else we should know to help you best?

It has been in a drawer for a few years. I have installed the before. I matched the color wires the way the markings say. On the very right where the red attaches there is another red wire that runs from one screw to the other. Does it matter which screw I attach to?

Welcome to Just Answer, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to help you with your issue. First I’ll need some more info so I have a more complete picture of your situation.

Did you put in fresh batteries installed with the proper polarity? Did you turn off the power to the furnace first? Doesn't matter which terminal you connect the red to, either RC or RH will work as long as the jumper is in place.
