I'm replacing my Intertherm Thermostat with a Honeywell

Customer Question
I'm replacing my Intertherm...

I'm replacing my Intertherm Thermostat with a Honeywell RTH221 - The Honeywell says not to connect (C) - then there's no place for (E) . Now, All but (C)&(E) are connected - (B) is open on connection strip. Intertherm has W Y C R G O E - HONEYWELL has"B O G Y W Not Used R Rc"

Contractor's Assistant: Just to clarify, do you think this is a larger HVAC problem, or something specific to the thermostat?

Just a Rplmnt of the non-functional Intertherm Thermostat !!

Contractor's Assistant: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?

Yes thermostat is already mounted - wires (C)&(E) not connected - no place for (E), Honeywell instructions says not to connect (C) , however, there is a (B) slot open on the Honeywell. My thermostat is reading the room temp - just not firing up !!

Contractor's Assistant: Anything else we should know to help you best?

I was never told by my service person that I have an Auxiliary Pump - I do have as he stated "Heat Strips".

The Honeywell RTH221 does not have a Aux slot - I connected E to W - (now W+E) . No Heat after waiting 10 min - (C) is still not connected as per Honeywell's instructions !!
HVAC Technician: Daniel Plourde, HVAC Technician replied 4 months ago

is the heat pump not working or just the electric heaters not working?

Updated pymnt info was sent as requested - now, what is the problem or is this a one armed bandit scheme ???
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Now - I've followed up with your advice Daniel and I'm being put on hold for another 24hrs!! This must really be too much for the technician provided - I'm still stuck with my original problem - of which I've only rcvd "1" answer - place (E) into (W) if "NO AUX" is Available !! Again - "Intertherm Thermostat":
W Y C R G OE is being rpld by "Honeywell RTH221": B O G Y W Not Used R Rc . What do I need to do to get my system back ?? The thermostat went out - THATS ALL !!

C No C terminal Tape off C
