williamson Thermoflo model CHB-105-DD and yes i have a meter
HVAC Technician: Rick, HVAC Supervisor replied 7 months ago

Ok, first go the the burner ignition control and jump the TT terminals. Then turn the power back on to the unit. Does the burner respond?

Ask Your Own HVAC Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
No it doesn't
HVAC Technician: Rick, HVAC Supervisor replied 7 months ago

Probe both limit terminal on the fan limit control the other probe to neutral do you have 120 volts on either terminal?

Ask Your Own HVAC Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Is the fan limit control on the side by what looks like a transformer?
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
No it doesn't have power
HVAC Technician: Rick, HVAC Supervisor replied 7 months ago

Do you have power to the bottom fan terminal on the other side of the control?

Ask Your Own HVAC Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
No when I put thermostat in hand for fan the fan will come on
HVAC Technician: Rick, HVAC Supervisor replied 7 months ago

Then you're not testing this right. If fan runs you have power to fan terminal and the fan terminal is jumped to the limit side.

Not in auto just manual the fan starts

I installed a Honeywell R7284 oil primary control and it says TT closed and limit open I don't know if this will help
HVAC Technician: Rick, HVAC Supervisor replied 7 months ago

Ok you still must have power at bot***** *****mit terminal. It's hot all the time. But you may have installed the R7284 wrong. Do you have the lead from the limit connected to the R7284 limit terminal AND a hot feed to L1 with L2 to neutral?

Ask Your Own HVAC Question
HVAC Technician: Rick, HVAC Supervisor replied 7 months ago

Then you need to track down why there is no power to the limit. Like I said it's hot all the time. You may have a bad connection.

Ask Your Own HVAC Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
There is power checking wrong terminals
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Limit isn't in a great spot
HVAC Technician: Rick, HVAC Supervisor replied 7 months ago

Ok power to both or only 1 terminal?

Ask Your Own HVAC Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Both
HVAC Technician: Rick, HVAC Supervisor replied 7 months ago

Then you don't have an open limit so how can the 7284 say you do if you wired it right?
