I am considering a EX08CTP direct vent heater for a cold room in my house. I am all electric so would need to dedicate a small (50-100gal) propane tank just for it. How do I reduce the pressure to the required max of 0.4 psi? I see there are adjustable/metered tank regulators out there. Is that what I need?

Yes you need a regulator. Adjustable regulators are generally better than fixed pressure regulators.

You just restated what I gave you. SPECIFICALLY : How do I reduce the pressure to the required max of 0.4 psi?
HVAC Technician: Rick, HVAC Supervisor replied 9 months ago

You install a regulator on the outlet of the tank at the tank and adjust the pressure to 0.4 psi. There's not a lot to say about it. It's pretty straight forward. Regulators are directional so be sure the arrow on the regulator is pointing away from the tank
