I'm putting in a programable one. Instructions do not match
HVAC Technician: Scott, HVAC Technician replied 8 months ago
I guess what I meant was that I just did this same conversion with another client. I thought you might have a duplicate post.
What brand is your new thermostat and is it heat pump compatible.

It's to dark to see now. Was a older Trane weathertron.have pictures
HVAC Technician: Scott, HVAC Technician replied 8 months ago
No problem the new thermostat probably won't use the x2 wire or the b wire others are the same. If you have a trane heat pump the o wire switches the reversing valve for cooling.

Ok with your new Subase on the wall you use the bottom scale or heat pump terminals . You wont be using the T wire the x2 wire or the B wire. Red to R Rc Orange to OB terminal White to aux/E Yellow to Y Green to G. Be sure to insulate the unused wires and tuck them into the wall in case for some reason you ever go back to a trade digital thermostat. Be sure to go through the installer set up tell the thermostat it powers O terminal for cooling.
