Hello, I have a burnam freedom boiler model fmc090ns. I am getting a trouble code E28 and was wondering the best wasy to go about trouble shooting.

Contractor's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?

The problem must have started early this morning.

Contractor's Assistant: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?

Contractor's Assistant: Anything else we should know to help you best?

I have tried to reset it, before the e28 code comes in it tries to start and does not get passed the pressure check for 4 to 5 minutes, then the e28 code appears

An e28 is blower not running when it should or no fan speed signal. If the blower is running then you could have a bad connection on the fan wiring harness.

I do not think that the fan is running.

Then you could also have a bad fan. This is not a DIY repair project

It requires training on this unit as well as competancy in boiler service. I assume you're a home owners who isn't likely to have either. This is a major safety component and an improper repair could literally kill everyone in the house

I'm a licensed electrician and do have some experience troubleshooting. I have replaced components on this boiler before. I'm dissatisfied with this service right now. It cost me $30 for you to tell me to jiggle some wires? That's ludicrous.
