Customer Question
I'm reading the issue...

I'm reading the issue where blower doesn't come on after combustion but does work in manual or when heat pump runs.

Contractor's Assistant: Did you double-check the thermostat's settings? And what about the filters?

Filters are temporarily removed to eliminate possibility. I'm getting fault indicator of 4 red flash.

Contractor's Assistant: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?

Yes, and I've replaced several parts already. This post says it's the control board for my circumstance. Where do I get it?

Contractor's Assistant: Anything else we should know to help you best?

So whatever happened caused the blower motor to fail and the inducer motor to burn up. Both replaced. I then got a different error and tried replacing pressure switches and limit switch. Still getting error.

Initial problem was blower and inducer motors burned up. Replaced. Blower works now in manual and heat pump modes but does not come on after combustion. Getting 4 red flash indicating limit switch but I replaced a limit switch and pressure switches already. Wasn't sure if the limit switch I replaced was the right one.So now it's either the wrong switch or control board.
HVAC Technician: airheatman, HVAC Technician replied 8 months ago

THanks for this information. The error 4 means limit is opening because blower does not come on.

Since motor works in other mode. we know the issue is that motor is not getting signal to come on in heat mode.

Tell me about the thermostat .What is model on thermostat and what is model on outdoor unit?

Honeywell but don't see a model #. Outside heat pump is York 4 ton. Don't know model.
HVAC Technician: airheatman, HVAC Technician replied 8 months ago

Remove front cover on thermostat to get model. And there should be a label on side of heat pump

I can see the call for heat. Everything is working fine except Aux or emergency heat when blower doesn't come on. I'll get models.

Thermostat model TH832071008
HVAC Technician: airheatman, HVAC Technician replied 8 months ago

The reason I want models is to verify setup. Some thermostats have settings to bring blower on from thermostat and others to bring blower on through furnace board.Looking up manual on stat now

Ask Your Own HVAC Question
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
Set to 12 and saved and went back in but still no 0180 option. This unit has an ECM 2.3 motor so isn't it most likely controlled by board since it's variable speed?
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
At this point, what is your gut feel? Since I'm shotgun replacing it seems my only unreplaced items are control board which is what another thread I was reading suggested. If not control board, what else could it possibly be?
HVAC Technician: airheatman, HVAC Technician replied 8 months ago

If thermostat is setup correctly showing furnace blower controlled by the furnace and not tstat, My next suspicion would also be the board.

Ask Your Own HVAC Question
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
I'll try and get a control board but could use your help if you have a resource. Can you tell me what the control board part # is from York? If you have a resource to look that up it would be great and while you're there could you get the part # for the blower control board? I don't suspect it but voltage makes it's way there somehow and might as well have the part # if available.
