Just started.

Hello, take a photo of the thermostat wire connections, and attach it here using the 'add files' link next to your send button, OR tell me which color of wire went to which terminal on the old thermostat.

We can go from there

T is the mister that is needed with old thermostat. You do not need it. X2 is emergency heat. But hat is taken care of in thermostat. Russ

gotoman for ac:
To be clear, I'll repeat what I think you said:
Leave unconnected the following wires on the OLD Thermostat: Black wire (was X2) Brown wire (was T). Correct?
On NEW Thermostat, connect Red wire to R, Green wire to G, Yellow wire to Y, White wire to W2-Aux/E, Orange wire to W-O/B, and Blue wire to C. Correct?
Also, this thermostat is advertised as needing a 'C Wire' to be installed to complete the 24V circuit. Is the advertising wrong?
HVAC Technician: gotoman for ac, HVAC Technician replied 8 months ago

Yes Wiring is correct; For C wire use the blue wire going to B. Russ

Ask Your Own HVAC Question
HVAC Technician: gotoman for ac, HVAC Technician replied 8 months ago

Trane used the B terminal as common wire from transformer. All other call it the C terminal. Russ
