I have just installed Lennox Xc16 3 ton and SL280V furnace.

The lyric will not be a communication system.....

That icomfort communicates constantly with the furnace and ac,

When i mean communicate it basically sends signals back and forth to control to optimum performance!

Lets explain the dehumidifier..... A air conditioner is a dehumidifer basically, However with the 2 stages of ac you have and the icomfort it can control this to maximum the pull of humidity out of the air, where the lyric is just a basic thermostat mainly..... Will not be able to do this

I Completely understand your concern with the ipad hanging on the wall and its the number one complaint we have, However in my opinion it is the BEST thermostat out there, The features are unreal once you understand them, If you have WIFI be sure to hook it up and you can have the weather right on the screen, if you change your settings you can have the screen time out so its not real bright on the wall but dimmed down or turned off after so many seconds.

Dont get me wrong the lyric will work..... BUT it will not bring out all the potential of the system, and im sure for what you spent you want to get the full potential

its all about technology, I can access all of my customers Icomforts see its performing correctly and can see if one is not or is about to so I can be at that customers house before it goes bad!

Shows a array of error codes, Give it a go for a little while, But hook it up to wifi to get all features.....
