I had a technician come out and tell me "they" don't make those anymore, replacement would be $700...another technician said he could replace it for $400...which means SOMETHING will work...but maybe I can figure out the installation myself...or get an experienced friend.

Have you removed the motor yet? I am showing a 1/4 hp with brackets and a 1/3 without

I have not removed the motor
Customer reply replied 10 months ago
I need to figure out if it has brackets...I can take a picture maybe...and upload the file below...let me know if you'd like me to try that.

OK since you have this many wires it is the multi speed motor, most likely the one I sent pic of with no bracket. But before you order, Let's get motor out and verify the hp and rotation. If you need to get help, that is fine.We are not on a time limit here. After rating my answer we can work on this for up to 30 days at no additional charge.
I am going to attach a link to a generic video that will give you the basic idea of how to remove and replace the motor.

I got the blower fan, the motor, and the housing out yesterday and then I couldn't figure out how to separate the motor from the fan, and couldn't get them out of the housing so I took a break for the rest of the evening. Maybe we can chat after noon, about the same time if possible. In the meantime, I'll continue trying to figure it out. Thanks very much for your help!
