Hi I have a carrier infinity and it says sensor error outdoor sensor malfunction
JA: How old is the appliance? Have you gotten error messages before?
Customer: AC seems to not be working
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: not sure how old, but less than 10 yrs
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: is there any way to get the AC working while we wait for someone to come service the unit

Do you get an error code on board in outdoor unit?

It says Outdoor Sensor Error System Malfunction and the AC does not appear to be working

Is there a way to clear it so I can have the AC work manually for now until we can get a technician out here

OK the thermostat is not reading the outdoor thermostat sensor. Can you look inside thermostat and see if you have wires to S1 and S2 or OATand OAC or all 4?

I have no idea how to look inside the thermostat without breaking it?
