Our Richmond water heater blower assembly motor is making

Customer Question

Our Richmond water heater blower assembly motor is making loud laboring noises. I believe we will have to replace it. Will it harm anything to turn off the motor and have it replaced next week? I don't think this should constitute an emergency but I do not know.
JA: How long has this been going on? And how severe is the problem?
Customer: It started yesterday. The motor sounds bad but I don't know how to judge the severity. I know nothing about how it works.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: No.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: No.
