Customer Question
We have a 15-20...

We have a 15-20 yr old white-Rodgers thermostat wired to an attic furnace; a pain to get to. We have to keep getting up in there to reset it. This time it's not coming on?

Contractor's Assistant: Just to clarify, do you think this is a larger HVAC problem, or something specific to the thermostat?

We are puzzled by the connection between them. The fan will run.

Contractor's Assistant: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?

If we can do it, what do you think?

Contractor's Assistant: Anything else we should know to help you best?

Well, we turn the thermostat down to 40 degrees. My husband gets in the attic and does the instruction in the manual, then I turn the thermostat up to 80 when he tells me. After a minute or two it comes on. Not this time.
