Customer Question

I have trouble with my furnace. It's a Rheem Classic Super Quiet 80.
JA: Did you check the furnace's filters?
Customer: Filter clean. It will run for a while, but flame shuts off and requires taking off the top door and resetting one of the two little red buttons to make it run again. Tried cleaning flame sensor with no luck.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

If you have to reset the rollout switches you have a problem. Possible heat exchanger blockage or leak inherit exchanger. Both are dangerous problems. Please have a tech check the system. russ
