My furnace quit working before Christmas. After a wait,

Customer Question

My furnace quit working before Christmas. After a long wait, (days) I was able to get a gas valve, and change it. Stay with me, this is a complicated story. OK?
JA: Did you check the furnace's filters?
Customer: Filters are OK.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes, I have changed the gas valve, and the ignitor (Hot surface.)
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: The furnace now works intermittently, After being off for a long time, (it was off all night and today) it will cycle. Turning it on will start the combustion fan, then the ignitor will glow, and I can light it with a propane torch. It will burn for several minutes, then quit. Then it will not relight for an undetermined period of time. Trying the restart and lighting procedure will not light the burners.

Is this the response I was charged for?

I'm just checking first if you needed help before we continue. I'm not sure about a charge, I only get paid if I get a rating ?
