We wired our new Honeywell Thermostat and it worked fine for

Customer Question

We wired our new Honeywell Thermostat and it worked fine for a few hours. Now it stopped and we are going to get down to -11 tonight. Can you answer a question for my husband about the thermostat?
JA: Just to clarify, do you think this is a larger HVAC problem, or something specific to the thermostat?
Customer: I am not sure what a HVAC is. We just have a gas furnace at our house.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: The problem is we hooked up a new Honeywell Thermastat. It worked fine for awhile and now it stopped . The old thermastat has a red jump wire, so I left the little jump clip on the new one. Was this correct?
