Customer Question

hello, i have a taco 571. the valve seems to be working fine but sometime the head doesnt open the valve, can i reomve the head without draining the system?
JA: How long has this been going on? And how severe is the problem?
Customer: about 3 days, not severe, i still have heat...but some times i have to put it in manual mode to get it running again
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: only if i can replace the head without draining the system

Yes you can remove/replace th head without draining the system. Make sure the head is de-energized (you feel resistance when you pull the lever down) then just twist it and it will release and come off.
