JA: Hi. How can we be of help?
Customer: I replaced Honeywell thermostat controller batteries and still with new batteries it the screen shows "Bat Lo" How to reset ?
JA: Just to clarify, do you think this is a larger HVAC problem, or something specific to the thermostat?
Customer: For sure no !
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: thermostat reset only after replacing batteries - the a/c units are fairly new

how do the battery contact points look in the thermostat? Any white or green residue?

Bill - the batteries are new; the old ones showed white residue and I cleaned thermostat terminals before replacing with new ones/

In these cases we only have 2 choices.....

1 - batteries, contacts

2 - bad thermostat not recognizing battery power.

If the batteries are new and the contacts are cleaned...that is all you can do. If that fails you will need to replace thermostat
