Rudd Model RCFL-HM2417CC won't heat. The fan works but there is no heat!
JA: Did you double-check the thermostat's settings? And what about the filters?
Customer: Thermostat is set at 68 and the filter was just replaced.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If I can.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

Hello, lets do a 'soft reset'... turn the thermostat OFF, wait 5 minutes, and have someone else turns the thermostat back ON and sets the heat to 90F..... as you stand next to the furnace listening for the inducer fan to start, then a faint click as the pressure switch closes, then in 40 seconds or so, two more faint clicks as the relays for the igniter and gas valve close.. then the sound of the burners starting.

Repeat that test a few times until you are familiar with these sounds...then tell me how far along this sequence the furnace gets...I can tell what is wrong with the furnace most likely that way
