I have an older raypac boiler that keeps tripping the high

I have an older raypac boiler that keeps tripping the high temp water safety I changed the honneywell water temp control but still have the same problem. there is another control that appears to be an out side temp sensor boiler resets and works well temp goes to 140 degree then trips again not completely up on this boiler thanks for any help you can give
JA: How long has this been going on? And how severe is the problem?
Customer: since heating season started in alabama about 2 weeks aga
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes I am a hvac company but not up on this equipment
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
