I just bought a new 25000 btu walll gas furnace to replase

i just bought a new 25000 btu williams walll gas furnace to replase an old wall gas unit.T he new unit tripe the vent safety switch . I placed a portable oven thermometer near the switch and meaasured a temp as high 325 f degrees this seems high what could be causing this problem

Customer: pilot light ok also thermostat ok

This sounds like the exhaust vent is too small are you sure the venting is the correct size for the unit?
