I have a evo Gree split unit system. When I tried to start

Customer Question

I have a evo Gree split unit system. When I tried to start the heating system using the remote, a code of E6 appeared on the remote receiver sensor display. What does this mean?
JA: Did you double-check the thermostat's settings? And what about the filters?
Customer: I don't know if I double-clecked the thermostat's settings. The filters are clean!
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If it's a simple solution that requires following directions with no special tools, I think I can do it.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: The remote has new batteries.

E6 error code indicates that there is a communication error between indoor and outdoor unit

This is not a quick fix for the homeowner and will require technical knowledge of the Gree systems to diagnose the exact problem.

It usually means replacing either one of 6 sensors or a control board.
