Customer Question

My Trane furnace is giving me a reverse polarity error code
JA: How old is the appliance? Have you gotten error messages before?
Customer: Just bought the house in Febuary, dont know how old the furnace is. Maybe 5-10 years. Its a Trane XV80
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If possible, yes.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: The power on the furnace runs to a switch, thento a light, then to the breaker

has the furnace ever run since you have had it?

This code means hot and neutral are means bad circuit board.

If there has not been any rewiring...and the furnace ran prior then it is bad board....if there has been wiring done check the hot and neutral and reverse if needed
