I have a Honeywell electronic thermostat that displays"On Permanent Hold".
JA: Just to clarify, do you think this is a larger HVAC problem, or something specific to the thermostat?

JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Not sure, but it looks like it has to do with the therrmostat.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Fairly new system. installed in 2008. Zone controlled, No AC.

Welcome to Just Answer, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to help you with your issue. If my initial response doesn’t answer your question then let me know and we can continue our conversation.

Permanent hold simply indicates the thermostat will operate at the current set temp and not run the program. Probaly not why you don't have heat. If you want trubleshooting help for your heating equipment I need to know what you have for a furnace or boiler, brand and model number?
