I flipped the switch from air to heat and while the blower does blow cold air I am not getting heat. We rent and this is the first time I have tried to start furnace. what else should I be doing
JA: Did you check the furnace's filters?
Customer: yes, replaced last week
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: hope so. I cannot get ahold of the owner and am afraid about calling repair tech when it is probably me

Can you give me complete model from inside furnace in burner compartment so I can provide guidance with this specific unit.Model will be on a label just above burners on right or left inside panel

Then look in blower compartment and see if we have a control board with a blinking light.If so tell me the pattern of that flash.That will indicate what is wroung and tell us where to start troubleshooting.
