Any news on the compressors
Expert:  D.E. Anderson replied 9 months ago.

Hi, do you still need information on the compressors? I can cross them to Copeland. No one uses the bristols anymore. However a couple manufacturers make equivalents

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
That's duel compressors? And what's the cost?
Expert:  D.E. Anderson replied 9 months ago.

Around $2600 for just the compressors. That's close to your contractors costs. Then there is markup, torch fees, recovery and vacuum, and refrigerant that he will charge for. Also labor. I'd say even if he found the compressors you could expect an expense around $5,000-$6,000 for him to repair it. I feel the same as your contractor, that replacing it would be a better option and you would have a new system with a new system warranty. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Thanks.
