Have carrier 9200 code reads 34 replaced igniter still will

Customer Question

Have carrier 9200 code reads 34 replaced igniter still will not fire what else to try?
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: last week
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I already replaced the igniter because that is supposed to be most common part to go out
JA: Sorry about that. I must have missed it. Could you tell me again?
Customer: furnace code shows a 34 which is an ignition problem that is why I replaced igniter
JA: Did you check the furnace's filters?
Customer: yes what would that have to do with it not igniting?
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: that is it

the 34 is an ignition proving failure. Does furnace light and then go off?
