I have a goodman GCH95 counter flow ,turned on for first

Customer Question

I have a goodman GCH95 counter flow ,turned on for first time this season and got a 3 flash code. it must have ran for awhile because condensation was pooled on bottom of unit ,never had that before-i changed cover pressure switch and put cover back on,turned it back on and it tried to start then went into lock-out.took cover back off and tried it again and it started and ran through complete cycle.checked both switch vac hoses and no water or blockage and noblockage in condensate drain lines HELP
JA: Did you double-check the thermostat? And what about the unit's filters?
Customer: thermostat works fine and new filter installed
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: not that i can think of

Hello,

My name is Billy. Is the furnace vented outside with 1 or 2 pipes?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
no just wanted to let you know the furnace and a/c is only 2 years old
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
2-pipes,one for combustion and one for exhaust
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 8 months ago.

thank you.

If you remove the combustion air pipe does the furnace run?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
No it does the same thing,it only runs with the cover off, when it does stop burning it makes a loud banging noise, could I have a cracked heat exchanger-it is only 2 years old-still when cover is on and I run furnace goes back to a 3 flash code
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 8 months ago.

when you cleared drain...did you use a shop vacuum and apply direct suction to the furnace itself at drain point?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
All drain lines were removed blown out and checked with light, both pipes were checked for blockage. I also checked inducer blower for blockage and seal all are good
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Is there a stain pan in heat exchanger compartment
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I ment a drain pan
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 8 months ago.

my concern is not the drain lines..it is the secondary heat exchanger inside the furnace...did you apply suction to the drain coming from furnace?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
No I did't but I will now
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 8 months ago.

thank you...tell me if you get sludge out...

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
No sludge but when I pulled inducer blower there was a lot of condensation all over exchanger
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 8 months ago.

usually a sign of back up....have you tried the unit now?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I will now with cover on
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Went back to 3 flashes as soon as lnducer started - doesn't seem like inducer is pulling enough vacuum for switches
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Is not pulling vacuum
Expert:  BillyHvac replied 8 months ago.

are all the fins on the inducer wheel?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
All fins are perfect no dust paper nothing and seal for mounting inducer is perfect, trying to contact a friend for a gauge for checking vacuum pull on switches , cover switch -0.10pf and other switch -1.20pf
