Customer Question

my goodman has 6 flashes and a blown fuse which happens quite often I thing it may be the thermostate since it works for a while after changing the fuse and thermostat batteries.
JA: Just to clarify, do you think this is a larger HVAC problem, or something specific to the thermostat?
Customer: Not sure since its dealing with 24 volts
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: I replaced the switch on the outside unit last year didn't seem to help this issue. A tech was out changed the circuit board still didn't help and thermostat is the original so thinking it may be the issue.

If fuse is blowing there is something shorting in the low voltage control circuit. Does this seem to have a pattern such as when ac is on or when heat is on?
