I have a Fedders unit with FVHTC marked. The old thermostat

Customer Question

Hi, I have a Fedders unit with FVHTC marked. The old thermostat had a red (RH) Blue (RC). White (W), Yellow (Y) and Green (G) connected to the (marked) slots. I am trying to find the Common (C) terminal on the heating unit. There is a brown wire that is not connected on either side and I guess I can use that but where do I connect it on the Fedder. Thanks
JA: Did you double-check the thermostat's settings? And what about the filters?
Customer: I am not sure what that means, sorry.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: 'The old thermostat state was a round honeywell. Hopefull yes. I had done it at my last house but that was only 15 years old and gad a newer panet
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: thats about it! :-)

OK Also do you have a volt meter.

If not you can get an inexpensive one at Walmart for about 15 bucks if you would like to troubleshoot and I would be happy to guide you.

We can determine which wire is Common with a volt meter
