JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: its a train unit had a jumperwire for aux heat
JA: Did you double-check the thermostat's settings? And what about the filters?

WE really need to know what each connects to in the indoor unit.Can you open unit and look to see then let me know?

OK I can tell you the most likely place each goes, but without looking we are making an educated guess and could pop a fuse or burn up a transformer if wrong. The problem we have is one tech may use a blue for common where another may use a red.

Or we can try touching wires together as I explain and verify what happens when we do.

Here is what we would do. DO NO let blue touch anything right now as it is usually common.

Turn power on and touch the following and see if the function listed happens.

Touch Red to Green See if blower comes on

Touch Red to Orange -See if reversing valve swishes in outdoor unit

Touch Red to White and see if heat element comes on

Touch Red to yellow and see is outdoor compressor comes on
